Moreland Avenue Corridor Study
With the recent increase in development interest, the lack of any clear or coordinated zoning effort along Moreland Avenue has become painfully apparent. SouthStar CDC took on the challenge of bringing all of the effected communities and government offices together to plan for Moreland’s future. The study was funded by ANDP and is available here.
The final report is 72 pages long and is presented here in Adobe PDF format.

Moreland Avenue Commercial Corridor Assessment
This 1999 study by SouthStar CDC addressed the current conditions of commercial and residential development of the properties along a long stretch of the portion of Moreland Avenue from I-20 south to Custer Avenue. The study was significant in that it cross three jurisdictional boundaries, and in that it studied an area that has always been on the fringe of each jurisdictions plans. Because of the lack of attention paid to this area, it remains one of the least attractive and slowest growing corridors in this booming area of Atlanta. The study was the first critical step in assessing what the problems are, and forms the basis for the work to be accomplished in the proposed Moreland Avenue Corridor Study
